The caracolas or cañaíllas are a supremely effective starter for the capture of large esparidos like the sargue or sea-bream. We must break their bark (usually with two stones they will be sufficient for this task) of the meat the calus which the animal protects, by fattening it in the hook and by ensuring it with elastic wire.

I specify for large fish, especially indicated for the capture of bars and sea eels, we will be able to use it fresh or pickles some with splendid results. We will always have the use of wire elastic to avoid separation in launch. For their fattened we will use specific needles for the fish flesh.

These starters traditionally rejected by its little of coherence, acquire new possibilities thanks to the use of the brine. Fine clams, hulls, shells and moulds can be treaties successfully for their use in fishing, we will take account always of their fixing with the hook by the elastic wire.
